Kubb sizes & weights
Official Kubb sizes and weights
Kubb is played the way you want. With a homemade set of old table legs or with a deluxe tournament edition of perfectly balanced blocks. As long as you throw, laugh and win (or lose with flair), you're good.
But… if you have serious ambitions, it pays to train with an official Kubb set. Do you practice with the right dimensions and weights? Then you are ready for tournament level. Below you will find all official specifications of Kubb blocks, sticks and playing fields.
Competition dimensions of a Kubb set
The official dimensions are fixed, but the weight may vary slightly. After all, wood is alive – and that gives character. A clear margin has been agreed upon within the competition rules. See below for an overview of all dimensions, shapes and weights:

In short: an official Kubb set consists of sturdy wooden parts with a decent weight. Not a toy set, but real throwing equipment for fanatic players.
Which type of wood is suitable for Kubb?
Not every piece of wood is suitable for a fanatical game of throwing. At the World Championships they use pinewood, but at the National and European Championships rubberwood is often used. Why? Because rubberwood dents instead of splinters – that makes it safer and more durable.
Rubberwood is not only practical, but also strong and safe. In our shop you will find sturdy Kubb sets that can really take a beating.
Official field dimensions of a Kubb tournament
An official Kubb field is 8 meters long and 5 meters wide. It is divided into two halves of 4 by 5 meters each. Simple and fair – just as it should be.
Are you setting out the field? Use sturdy stakes or tent pegs. This will prevent crooked lines or discussions during the game. Because let's be honest: who wants to argue about a crooked sideline when the king is about to fall?
Ready to train like a pro?
Use an official Kubb set , set out the field properly, and you are ready for action. Whether you are training for the club championship or just want to impress at the campsite.
